About

Modern days, modern needs, modern techniques!

If I were to put a dollar in a jar every time I hear “but it will take years for therapy to work,” I would be Warren Buffett!

Therapy is not like the old days when the client would lie on the couch in the therapist’s office, staring at the ceiling for the 297th day in the year, still guessing what his therapist’s voice might sound like to them. Today’s life doesn’t give us the luxury of spare time. We need effective, fast fixes that enable us to get back on our feet and wrestle with life and its demands.

There is still a couch in my office where you can lie down and stare at the ceiling if you want, but I also have other “pick-you-up and put-you-back together” tools that can get you going in a life that doesn’t wait for you to spend months and years trying to figure out “how.”

Helping others thrive rewards me with a delightful fulfillment, and it is a privilege to be a small part of another human’s story.

For me, therapy is collaboration. I’m an expert in my field, and you are an expert in your life – and everything attached to it. We put our knowledge on the table while matching the puzzle pieces. It will take work, but the results will be beautifully satisfying.

Here’s how to start.

You call, email, or text me – whichever you prefer. Then, we set up a 15-minute chat to figure out the details.

For some issues, I offer teletherapy, but in-person meetings are how I conduct most therapy sessions.

And just like that – we start!

Throw that hesitation out the window. You won’t know until you try it. Right? Call me so we can start. You can do it, and I’m here to help.

About Me

Realizing my passion led me in a different direction.

You know that I wasn’t always a therapist! Before becoming a therapist, I was an accountant who – I’ll use a strong word here – hated accounting with every fiber of my soul.

Psychology was my passion. I would spend my downtime reading about psychology, going to seminars and conferences, listening to podcasts, you name it! Human nature was and is SO fascinating to me. Then, I would wake up in the morning and return to my dreaded job until – I started personal therapy.

Receiving therapy wasn’t all that mysterious and fascinating anymore – it was hard work. Therapy provided a new introduction to myself and shattered all the familiar patterns that held me back from living life.

I relearned beliefs and behaviors that would shape the polished version of myself – the self that I would lovingly greet in the mirror, admiring all its imperfections.

As a therapist, learning never ceases.

After receiving my Master’s in Counseling Psychology/Marriage and Family Therapy and spending a few thousand hours on internships, I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

I’ve worked in various settings, from psychiatric hospitals and residential facilities to my practice, in the last ten years.

I continuously look for opportunities to improve my skill set as a psychotherapist to provide the best possible treatment to my clients. I am trained in EMDR, certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and have certification as a clinical anxiety treatment professional.

These leading-edge techniques allow me to help you effectively and efficiently. I’m direct, to the point, don’t sugar-coat things, and my clients love me for that.

Here are some tidbits about me.

I speak Armenian and Persian in addition to English and provide services in those languages if requested.

You can find me cooking (I’m a foodie), binge reading, or walking outside while listening to my favorite podcasts when I am not working.
